I enjoyed the article, but am curious in that a real life scenario that would be depicted in a Product dimension hierachy, would have seperate tables for MainGroup and SubGroup with referential integrity between these tables as well as a Product dimension. If the modifications were made instead to the Main and Sub Group tables(a snowflake approach) instead of having the data in a single table, will the same issues arise?
