On App Dev website you can download for free first DVD of their Analysis Services video training course. This video will teach you basic concepts of building SSAS cubes and how to query cubes using Excel. Excellent free material for beginner. There is over an hour of video material in this video download.

I have viewed the SQL Server 2008 Overview of New features, the DB Engine, SSIS, SSRS and SSAS. I've viewed quite a bit of training and many, many hours. I give high marks for the training and the individuals doing the presentations.
However, in my opinion, the SSAS modules were weaker than I felt they should have been. I was hoping for more indepth topics, more MDX, exploring processing options in more detail, discussing different scenarios, etc. The SSAS modules were approached from the angle of using the existing AdventureWorks Cubes. I felt that a better presentation approach would have been to build a cube from scratch. Just my opinion.
