Q: When should I consider splitting measure group into partitions? A: Whitepaper 'OLAP Desing Best Practices for Analysis Services 2005' recommends to have no more than 20mln rows in the single partition. So if you measure group has more than 20mln records, it is recommended to split it into partitions.
