CubeSlice 9 for Analysis Services 2005 Released

SDG Computing, Inc, is pleased to announce the release of CubeSlice 9, a local cube generating product that works with Analysis Services from both SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2000.
Why local cubes?
Microsoft has provided the ability to create local cube files so that users can have access to their OLAP data when they're not connected to the Analysis Server. An additional benefit of local cubes is that they can greatly improve cube browsing speed.Response time for Analysis Server cubes can slow when users are browsing, sorting, and calculating on low levels of large dimensions. With CubeSlice you can create a set of small high performance local cubes, with each one containing a portion of the data that the user needs to see.
Why CubeSlice?
If you want to create rapid browsing local cubes, it's very important to be able to make them as small as possible, while still including the necessary portions of the server cube. CubeSlice provides a point and click environment for designing local cubes. It automates the process of writing the ASSL cube creation script.CubeSlice also provides a simple, convenient tool for delivering cube data to users. With CubeSlice Share files you can give your OLAP data to any user who has the Microsoft Office 2003 or Office XP Web Components installed on their computer.
