About the Training:
This course will train Microsoft partners about Microsoft’s performance management strategies and solutions. With the practical application of these new features, attendees will be able to install, configure, and use the monitoring and analytic capabilities of PerformancePoint Server.
Target Audience:
Microsoft Certified Partners that would enroll in the BI Competency, system integrators, architects, implementers, and business analyst, and administrators.
Prerequisites:
Students should be familiar with the PerformancePoint Server offering. Knowledge regarding KPIs, scorecards, and dashboards are also useful. This understanding may come from both case studies and from “real-world” environment scenarios that illustrate specific aspects of these concepts.

Summary: This white paper describes how to set up a load-balanced scalable querying environment for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services so that you can handle a large number of concurrent queries to your Analysis Services servers. Load-balanced querying ensures that readers of OLAP cubes can consistently query for the latest aggregations throughout the day and distribute the load of all queries among the available servers. This scale-out querying architecture optimizes cube processing time, increases the frequency of cube update, and makes processing more robust as you can afford more frequent processing and transparent error recovery.

Business intelligence software sales are growing at a double-digit pace, according to a new IDC report, and rising demand lifted sales for nearly every vendor. Microsoft and SAS led the way among the top-five vendors while one up-and-coming company racked up a near triple-digit sales gain. Despite all the "BI for everyone" marketing hype, IDC says the technology is still out of reach for mainstream business users.
