The SQL Server 2005 Best Practices Analyzer (BPA) gathers data from Microsoft Windows and SQL Server configuration settings. BPA uses a predefined list of SQL Server 2005 recommendations and best practices to determine if there are potential issues in the database environment. This download is the July 2007 release of SQL Server 2005 Best Practices Analyzer. For SQL Server Analysis Services 2005 this analyzer checks for over 30 rules and prepares nice reports when any of these rules are invalidated. List of SSAS rules from help file:
Best Practice Analyzer also checks service security. You can find test review on SSAS database here. |
