On March 21, 2007, Microsoft published a paper titled "OLAP Design Best Practices for Analysis Services 2005". This paper contains a list of things to do and to avoid while working on data sources, dimensions, cubes, partitions and aggregations. Highly recommended reading for anybody working with SSAS.
